Due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, the last time BILLY JOEL performed in concert anywhere, was on March 6, 2020 at Foro Sol, Mexico City, Mexico, 1&1/2 years ago! Well last night, 8/4/21 BILLY JOEL performed his first concert in 17 months at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts to a 38,000+ SOLD OUT stadium!

*Although BILLY JOEL has recorded over 121+ songs, he plays the songs that everyone excepts to hear at one of his concerts. Some without question, such as, My Life, Movin' Out, Scenes From an Italian Restaurant and Piano Man. But at this concert, and to my pleasure, he played an obscure song, A Room of Our Own, from his 'Nylon Curtain' album! The last time I attended a BILLY JOEL concert, at New York's MSG, he performed another song he never plays in concert, Half a Mile Away from his 52nd Street album. I personally wish that he would keep this trend alive at his concerts. There are dozens and dozens of BILLY JOEL songs that true BILLY JOEL fans would love to hear at one of his 'live' concerts from his early albums, but never performs them 'live'. (I wish I could be your musical director for a couple of shows Bill. I have nothing against David Rosenthal, he's superb, but as you know, fresh is sometimes needed) I'm a true blue fan of 50 years from Syosset, N.Y.
