In the summer of 1977, I was sitting at the bar in Christianos Italian restaurant, located in Syosset, Long Island, N.Y. when, to my surprise, Billy Joel unexpectedly strolls in, walks up to the bar, and stands right next to me! Not yet internationally famous, but known on Long Island and the Tri-State area, and after some small talk. I ask Billy for his autograph. Looking around for something to write on, I remove my beer from my coaster, flipped it over, and Billy signed it on the dry side! Authenticity 100%.
